Anchorages · Komodo National Park
Where the boat actually stops
Five named anchorages, what each one is for, and the hour of the day it works. Which ones you get is set by tide and ranger scheduling, not by the price of the charter.

Each one is a different hour
Padar wants first light. Manta Point wants the tide. Kanawa wants an afternoon nobody is rushing.
Why the order is not yours to pick
Tide sets the dive stops
Manta Point and Batu Bolong work on slack water. The clock follows the tide table, not the itinerary.
Rangers set the walks
Rinca and Komodo landings run to ranger scheduling and the daily visitor cap.
Light sets Padar
The ridge is worth it at sunrise and merely hot by nine. That is what the overnight buys you.
Sea state overrides all three
The captain decides on the day. We reorder around it rather than pretend the plan was fixed.
Park and ranger conservation fees apply to every anchorage inside the national park and are paid on-site.
Four quick answers
Can I choose exactly which anchorages we visit?
You can set the priorities and we build the route around them. The order shifts on the day with tide, ranger scheduling and sea state — any operator who promises a fixed sequence is guessing.
How many anchorages fit in one trip?
A day trip covers four or five. 3D2N reaches six or seven with time at each. 4D3N adds the outer sites like Komodo Island and Karang Makassar.
Which of these can a day trip reach?
Padar, Pink Beach, Manta Point, Rinca and Kanawa or Kelor are all within a long day. What a day trip cannot buy is the hour each one is best at.
Do park fees change by anchorage?
The park fee is per person per day, not per site. Ranger fees apply to the guided walks on Rinca and Komodo. All paid on-site.
Tell us which stops matter
Name the two or three you actually came for. We build the route around them and tell you honestly what the tide allows.
